Stokenet Test Validator node will be upgraded to the latest node software 1.1.0 that was released on 13th Jan. See https://github.com/radixdlt/radixdlt/releases/tag/1.1.0 for details. The plan is to keep this version running on the Stokenet node for at minimum 4 days to ensure it's reliable enough for the Mainnet node.
As with many node operators, up until now Pica were running the previous 1.0.6 version. This was done since there were no security updates as part of the 1.1.0 release, and because the API refactor meant that 1.0.6 was a little superior from a monitoring perspective. Specifically, the 1.1.0 node software itself does not surface missed proposals which is a key metric that should be monitored very closely when running a validator. The upcoming 1.1.1 release is expected soon which should be adding back some of the monitoring functionality which was removed in 1.1.0, and being on the latest version will ensure that upgrade is quicker and easy.
In additional to the node software upgrade, some additional work has been done to improve node reliability. Specifically increased storage throughput and switching to the systemd approach.
